Folding your clothes…
I know, I know it sounds SO BASIC, and NOT AT ALL exciting but…
for most of my life, I was folding all of my clothes TOTALLY wrong, and once I discovered this new method, I was literally like, “DUH, why haven’t I been doing this all along?”
So if you too are doing it the old school way of “fold and stack”, then it’s time for a major organizing upgrade!!!
Many people refer to this new way of folding clothes as “The KonMari Method” because it was popularized by the organizing guru Marie Kondo who took the world by storm a few years ago with her unique ideas about tidying and organizing! #doesitsparkjoy
I have enjoyed all of her books and really found them each a quick & easy read. I also thought her suggestions were very helpful and super simple to incorporate into my life.

She also had a Netflix series called: Tidying up with Marie Kondo if you are looking for some visual inspiration to declutter and get organized! It can be a bit addictive to watch, so you’ve been fully warned!!
So let’s dive right into this life-changing folding process…
Essentially, the main goal of the KonMari folding method is that when you open your drawers everything is very tidy, but also easy to see what your choices are. Visibility is key!
It also makes accessing your clothing easier without messing up your whole drawer of clothes!
Let me give you a little visible example from my own life
My Pajama Drawer Before:
You can’t really see what your clothing options are because all you see is what item is on top!
And to makes things even worse, if you want to select an option at the bottom, you are likely to mess up the folded clothes (or not so folded in this case!) above it in the drawer.
My Pajama Drawer After:
When you have the items folded and rolled, and stacked horizontally, you can see all your clothes at one glance, and you can select any of them without creating a mess!
It’s like magic, huh?
