SO that means it’s time to see the Best Holiday gift guide for dogs that we made just for you and your pet (maybe ours too).
No, not Aunt Mildred.
Nope, not YOURSELF either (but I HIGHLY recommend being your own Santa, and will share more about that later in an upcoming post!)
I’m talking about your four-legged furry friend…yes, your ‘ole pal, your pooch!
Our dog Harper is almost 6 years old, and we have found some tried and true, top-notch toys for her over the years that many people might not know about, but we know their puppies would love!!
So, if you have a canine on your shopping list this Holiday Season, here is our best Holiday Gift Guide for Dogs!

1. KONG WOBBLER
If your dog gets bored easily, like ours does, then this interactive treat-dispensing toy may be the answer you’ve been looking for!
Our dog has one very similar (that they no longer make) and she LOVES It.
Essentially you just put some small treats or kibble inside and your dog has to push it around to make it “wobble” for the toy to dispense the treat.
It’s a favorite in our house and surely will be in yours too!
Here’s a photo of Harper in action with her Wobble Toy.
2. PILLOW PET
This gift recommendation is a bit outside of the traditional dog toy “box”.
As a fluke, a Pillow Pet was sitting in one of my children’s rooms and Harper immediately fell in love (not in a creepy way, but in the sweet “snuggle” way).
The Pillow Pet is now BY FAR her favorite possession even though it’s not really made for pets. She snuggles with it for hours every day!

3. CHEW KING “FROZEN FEEDER”
For those dogs who are OBSESSED with eating, like ours, these frozen feeders are a great way to keep your pup occupied for a while!
We have similar ones (that are also no longer available) that we fill with a combination of yogurt, applesauce, and kibble and then we freeze it.
Since it is frozen, it takes her a while to chew and get the goodies inside. I’ve also seen people add peanut butter and other treats inside, so it’s a very versatile “boredom buster”!
4. DASH DOG BISCUIT MAKER
If your dog has allergies or food sensitivities like ours does, then buying commercially made treats can be challenging cause you don’t know exactly what ingredients they are putting in them.
We are so cautious of what Harper eats that we even make her homemade dog food! (and you can read all about that here)
One way to get around this dietary dilemma is to make your own dog biscuits!
This biscuit maker made by Dash has all sorts of suggested recipes, so you’ll know exactly what is going into your dog’s treats!
5. HYPER PET DOGGIE TAIL
I don’t know about your pooch, but our dog loves anything that looks like a “critter”, and this interactive critter-looking gadget definitely keeps her attention!
6. WOBBLE WAG GIGGLE BALL
Seriously friends, the promo people who made the “Wobble Wag Giggle Ball” are geniuses…don’t you just want one solely on the fun name?
With over 46, 000 positive reviews on Amazon it clearly lives up to the HYPE!
7. EARTH RATED COMPOSTABLE WASTE BAGS
I know it’s not the most glamorous item to put on a gift guide, but every SMALL step we can each do to help the Earth, makes a BIG difference, even if that means buying compostable doggy-doo bags!
These biodegradable waste bags are just a little more in price than the traditional ones, so make the switch and help Mother Earth!
8. HIDE & SEEK SQUIRREL TOY
Most dogs instinctually like to find “burrowed” things, and this hide-a-squirrel toy helps simulate that primal canine activity.
Our dog loves this toy so much that we have one downstairs and a holiday one upstairs. (the squirrels are wearing Santa hats like the one below).
Needless to say, this is a “Fido fan favorite” in our house!
9. INTERACTIVE GAME PUZZLE
Any veterinarian, or pet psychologist (yes that’s a real job) will tell you that dogs need intellectual stimulation not only to beat boredom but also to help their intellectual development.
This interactive puzzle toy does just that! We hide small pieces of kibble in each of the compartments and our dog loves trying to “solve” the puzzle! It’s a toy that is used DAILY in our house cause our girl Harper loves it that much!

10. FURBO DIGITAL TREAT TOSSER
The last but certainly not least item on our gift guide is the Furbo dog camera treat tossing gadget.
This is the ONLY item on our list that we don’t personally own because honestly, we are with our dog 24/7, so there’s no need to have a virtual way of interacting with her. #spoliedpup
But if you work away from home or travel a lot, this is the PERFECT gift to stay connected with your pooch even when you are gone. If you want to see how it works, check it out here (As Seen On Ellen)
